Error message reference
A reference of error messages that may appear in Pulse Connect, with context and guidance.
| Message | Context | Meaning and Action |
|---|---|---|
| “Invalid user/password or disabled.” | Login | The email has no matching user, the password is wrong, or the user is inactive. Verify credentials or contact Admin. |
| “Too many attempts. Please wait 2 minutes.” | Login | 5 or more consecutive failed login attempts. Wait 2 minutes before retrying. |
| “Password expired. Please change your password.” | Login | The user’s password is older than 90 days. Use the Forgot/Change Password link. |
| “Account is not active.” | Login | The account’s activation link has not been clicked. Check email for the activation link. |
| “User already logged in from another browser or device.” | Login | A session is active on another device. Sign out there first. |
| “The account has reached the limit of advanced users.” | Login | The admin/designer concurrent seat limit for the account has been reached. |
| “The account has reached the limit of basic users.” | Login | The user concurrent seat limit for the account has been reached. |
| “Account already exists” | Registration | The account name chosen is already used by another organization. Choose a different name. |
| “User already exists” | Registration / Create User | The email address is already registered. |
| “Server name already in use” | Connector creation | Another connector with the same name exists. Use a unique name. |
| “Endpoint name already in use” | Endpoint creation | Another endpoint with the same name exists in this connector. |
| “View already exists” | View creation | A view with the same name exists in the account. Use a unique name. |
| “Group already exists” | Group creation | A group with the same name exists. Use a unique name. |
| “User not found” | Group management | The selected user does not exist in the account. |
| “User already in group” | Group management | The user is already a member of this group. |
| “View already in group” | Group management | This view is already assigned to this group. |
| “View or Endpoint not found” | View loading | The view or its endpoint was deleted or is inaccessible. |
| “Record not found” | Detail page loading | The record does not exist in the external system or the identifier is invalid. |
| “Error loading data” | Search/Detail pages | A request to the external system failed. Check connector/endpoint configuration. |
| “You cannot reuse any of your last N passwords.” | Password reset | The chosen password matches one of the recently used passwords. Choose a new password. |
| “Invalid or expired link.” | Password reset | The reset link has already been used or has expired. Request a new password reset. |
| “Please remove all users and views from the group before deleting it.” | Group deletion | Groups with assigned users or views cannot be deleted directly. Remove members first. |
| “Navigation error, invalid destination.” | View navigation | A navigation configuration is missing required information. Contact your Designer. |
| “Column title cannot be empty” | Watchlist | Watchlist column titles cannot be blank. Enter a valid title. |
